Love Ill-Treated
She was an excellent clinician in fact a highly rated orthopedic surgeon....,whatever, you know those medical terminologies. Well established and we'll advanced, she had just bought her dream house from her savings, several real estate investments and a start up plan for a company.
She must have been a very organized and determined lady, though still in her early thirties she had accomplished much, treated her parents, her siblings and family members in the way they deserved, I remember this one time I accompanied her on a vocational trip to one of the best global destinations as she celebrated her parents. What a joy for the parents, they had started enjoying the fruits of the their toil, when they worked hard just to see their daughter get the best education and here she was an accomplished lady.
Race was a very respectable lady, with an outstanding personality, everyone liked her and she did the same. However, one was not in place for Race something that would matter for her joys to come, you know that common saying "...and the two were happily ever thereafter.. " Yes you read my mind, Race was still single .
She resolved within herself and she decided to get married, this was her best decision and at the same time that worst decision she ever made. Race got married to a wrong person! Yes a wrong person!
In her normal day to day activities, she banged into one of her former classmates, actually they had not met for quite a long time. They had several dates and eventually they got married.
Race had just made her worst choice of a marriage partner, this guy had been stripped of his practising license and had turned into a nobody but just to win over Race, White camouflaged himself, put on a mask and brought somebody else to the table.
So here she was as innocent as a dove she had taken a burden upon herself. The man she thought she loved did not love her, he loved her money, her success, her progress and her properties, I don't know if that qualifies the old saying that lobe is blind on the side of Race but I bet it wasn't love is never blind but infatuation is blind and in our case Race loved White.
In the 7th year of their marriage things came crumbling down, all the wealth she build disappeared by the hand of her husband and in the 10th year good life had deserted their homestead, quarrels and fights became a norm for the two. Eventually White left Race and got hooked to another lady, a banker this time. Life became unbearable for Race but that was the reality that she had to face, accept it and begin afresh again .
That's how life is sometimes, some give love expecting the same in return but they only end up disappointed, these are some of the lessons we draw from Race's experience and I wish Race understood that,
✒ Nothing devastates so easily like traveling on a high speed in the wrong direction, wrong relationships ends in hurt breaks.
✒ It is not love when money comes first, job or status. It's more of a contract because if love was to be build on money, job or status, what happens when money or a high ranking job is gone?
✒ Never look for a good face, it will turn old one day. Never look for a hot body, six pack it will change one day. Never look for nice hair, it will turn to white one day. Never look for status it will change one day. Instead, look for a loyal heart that will love every day.
Last but not least, the Sole Proprietor of love/marriage between the two parties is the person they form when they become one, "...and the Two shall become one... "
N/B: A Sole Proprietor is a person who is the exclusive owner of a business entitled to keep all the profits after tax has been paid bit liable for all the loses.
Even though love/marriage should not be a business or a contract, the two should benefit on their goodness there in as ONE, share in the challenges and loses there in as ONE!
Disclaimer!
Loving someone out of pressure is like a boat 🚣 on a stormy sea which can never stabilize.
Likewise attaching to someone without purpose is like placing a boat on a dry land and expecting to roar. The best way to enjoy love is to never force it.
I wish I could say rest in peace Race!
